What It Means
We believe food can be a force for good and are working to maximise the positive impact it can bring to individuals and our communities. Given the reach of our products, we have a responsibility to bring people together and to play an active role in fighting social inequalities. We want to become an ambassador for action and continue to empower communities with our success stories.
What We’ve Achieved
Each year Goodman Fielder’s partnership with Foodbank helps change lives throughout Australia by donating the equivalent of over 1.2 million meals. Within the business, we partner with Careers Trackers, a non-profit organisation that creates pathways, support systems and opportunities to Indigenous university students. In the Pacific we support a range of charitable organisations through product donations, logistics support and/or financial assistance. The New Zealand business partners with Missions and local charities to donate food to those most in need.
What’s Next
We are developing a social impact framework to maximise the impact and community benefits achieved through our partnership programs. This framework will outline the role we can play to help transition people out of disadvantage and hunger to a position from which they can prosper and thrive. We will use this framework to reinvigorate and expand the impact of our community partnerships.
