Goodman Fielder’s purpose is simple – to create food that people love. Operating in the FMCG industry means no two days are the same. The Goodman Fielder Early Careers Program runs for 18 months – 24 months, and you will be supported every step of the way as you explore and learn about our business. You will gain valuable on-the-job experience, learning exposures and training across different functions and locations, which will give you true insight into how a large FMCG manufacturing company like Goodman Fielder works. At the end of the program, you will have a thorough understanding of the end to end operations of our business and how our functions work together to create food that people love.

Our Selection Criteria:

  • You will have graduated recently (within the last two years) in the following or similar fields:
    • Business / Commerce
    • IT
    • Finance / Accounting
    • Science (food)
    • Management
    • Operations and Supply Chain Management
    • Marketing
    • Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Be eligible to work in Australia and/or New Zealand
  • Are naturally curious, keen to learn, flexible, adaptable and resilient
  • Must be available to start on the 20th April, 2020


Recruitment Process

Our application process has six stages and we will keep you informed of your progress at every stage:


1. Online application form

You'll be required to submit your personal and educational details and upload a resume.

Applications will be accepted from the 14th Jan – 2nd Feb, 2020


2. Video interview and online psychometric assessment

If you are successful from the online application, you will be invited to complete a video interview and psychometric assessments.

Invitation to be sent on the 10th Feb. Testing to be completed by the 16th Feb.


3. Assessment centre

A select number of applicants will progress to the assessment centre. This is a full day session which will involve a number of activities designed to assess your capabilities against pre-determined criteria relevant to the role. On the day, you will also participate in a face to face interview where you will be asked a range of technical and behavioural based questions. We are looking for in-depth responses that allow us an insight into how you might behave in work situations.

Australia Assessment centres will be in our North Sydney on the 24th and 25th Feb. Successful applicants will only be required to attend one of these days

New Zealand Assessment Centres will be in our Auckland office on the 27th and 28th Feb. Successful applicants will only be required to attend one of these days


4. References checks and pre-employment checks

You will be asked to submit 2 referees for current or previous positions you have held, and satisfactory pass all pre-employment checks, which will include police checks.

Notifications will be sent on or before the first week of March.


5. Lunch with our CEO

You will be invited to attend lunch with our CEO and Group Head of HR.

Invitations will be sent within the first two weeks in March.


6. Offer

This will be made over the phone and your contract will be emailed to you. As part of the offer pack, you will be required to satisfactorily complete an organisational suitability assessment to determine your suitability for employment.
