Our Okta Project will kick-off over the coming weeks and the below information provides details on what's happening, what you need to do and why!


What is it Okta? 

Okta is both a Single Sign On (SSO) Tool and security platform, keeping our applications safe, protected and secure. 


Why do we need Okta?

Okta will reduce the need for multiple usernames and passwords by allowing single click access to applications. It's about making the lives of our people easier and more streamlined, whilst improving our IT self-service experience.

For example, by reducing reliance on IT for password resets, we estimate the move to Okta will recover approximately 300 days of lost productivity. When Okta is implemented, we will better secure our system and applications, reducing threats and potential downtime. 

When and how will Okta be implemented? 

  • VPN is our key priority and the Okta rollout will be executed commencing 15 June. Further instructions from IT Support will be shared shortly, so keep your eye out for information. 
  • Salesforce Okta rollout is estimated in late June. 
  • Office 365 Okta rollout is estimated in late July. IT will host some lunch & learn sessions to support our teams with the change.
  • We will target SAP and other key/remaining applications towards the end of the year, based on risk + benefit.
