10 slices Nature’s Fresh Thick White Loaf
250g tasty cheddar cheese, grated (We used Meadow Fresh)
1 onion, finely chopped
200ml evaporated milk
½ pack onion soup mix
Knob of butter (for pan toasting)
1. Mix the cheese, evaporated milk, onion soup mix and onion in a small saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring until the mixture is smooth and thick.
2. Allow the mixture to cool a little and spread a thick layer across five slices of bread. Place another slice of bread lightly on top (so you don’t squeeze out the filling).
3. Toast the sandwiches over medium heat with butter until golden brown on both sides (3-4minutes).
4. Serve them while they’re hot and enjoy!
