12 slices of Nature’s Fresh white toast 2 tbsp butter 6 eggs 4 tbsp milk (full cream or low fat) 100 g shaved ham 90 g cheese cut into 12 slices or grated Pinch of salt 2 tbsp of Mayonnaise (optional) 2 tbsp of Mustard (optional)
Remove the crusts from the Nature’s Fresh toast (these can be put aside to use for our Natures Fresh Parmesan and herb crust dipper recipe).
Using a rolling pin flatten each slice of bread.
Spread Mayonnaise and Mustard across bread if desired.
Cut the ham into strips about 2cm wide. Lay each along the bottom edge of the bread.
Top the ham with cheese.
Roll each slice of bread (starting with the ham and cheese end) and place seam side down.
Into a bowl add the egg, milk and salt and use a fork to whisk.
Heat the butter in a fry pan over a medium high heat.
Dip the roll ups in the egg mixture, rolling to coat all over. Then place in the fry pan.
Cook each side of the French toast roll up for aprox 1 minute or until golden.
