8 Nature’s Fresh sesame slider buns

500g ground beef

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper

2 tbsp butter

1/2 onion, diced

2 Tbsp mayonnaise

1 Tbsp mustard

5 Cheese slices (we used colby)

3 tbsp Tomato sauce

16 sliced sandwich Gherkins

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, and worcestershire sauce in a bowl, mixing thoroughly.
  3. Grease a baking dish or tray which is slightly larger than the 8 sliders with 1 tbsp of butter.
  4. Press the beef mixture into baking dish to create a large patty. It is important to ensure the meat is evenly distributed to ensure even cooking.
  5. Top the meat with finely diced onions and put the tray in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, remove the large meat pattie and drain any liquid from the tray.
  7. Cut the sliders in half lengthwise keeping each slider attached.
  8. Place the bottom half of the sliders on the same baking dish you used from the meat.
  9. Mix the mustard and mayo together and spread on the bottom sliders.
  10. Place the cooked meat pattie on top, followed by cheese slices to cover.
  11. Add tomato sauce and gherkins.
  12. Place the top of the sliders on to complete.
  13. Spread the top of the rolls with the remaining butter.
  14. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the sliders are golden and the cheese is melted.
