Cheerio sausage rolls

10 Slices of Nature's Fresh White sandwich bread

20 Cheerio cocktail sausages

5 Tbsp butter

1 egg

1 tsp milk

Tomato sauce to serve



  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Remove the crusts from the Nature’s Fresh bread (these can be put aside to use for our Natures Fresh Parmesan and herb crust dipper recipe).
  3. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread then cut each slice in half to create 20 strips.
  4. Now create your egg wash by whisking the egg and milk together.
  5. Butter one side of each piece of bread and wrap a cheerio in the middle (buttered side in).
  6. Seal the bread with a small amount of egg wash and place on the baking tray.
  7. Repeat this until you have 20 sausage rolls.
  8. Brush the sausage rolls with the remaining egg wash, and bake for 15 minutes turning once.
  9. Serve with tomato sauce.
