Goodman Fielder is committed to improving the environmental performance of our operations. We have implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) aligned to the internationally recognised ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems.

The EMS covers Goodman Fielder’s manufacturing operations and underpins the objectives set out in our Environment Policy.

The requirements of our EMS are documented in a series of mandatory corporate procedures (many of which are shared with Goodman Fielder’s Safety Management System) and a variety of model documents, forms and tools. The EMS is structured around five key elements that ensure a continuous improvement in Goodman Fielder’s environmental performance (see below). The EMS also provides internal targets for water, energy, waste and environmental compliance at our manufacturing sites.

The implementation of the EMS is supported by an internal training program and Goodman Fielder’s Safety, Health and Environment Strategic Plan.

Working with others

As a member of the Australian Chapter of the sustainable Agriculture Initiative, Goodman Fielder actively supports our primary producers to improve the sustainability of their agricultural activities. Our participation in the Australian Food and Grocery Council’s Sustainable Practices Committee and the Retailer and Supplier Roundtable Sustainability Council highlight our collaborative approach to improving practices within our supply chain.
